Italian Chamber of Commerce of Manitoba Partners with Italbiz To Launch New Chamber Web Site
Chamber Web Site Undergoes Complete Redesign to Offer Improved Online Services for Italian-related Businesses
Winnipeg (MB) - In partnership with Italbiz, the leading provider of e-business resources and solutions for Italian-oriented companies, the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Manitoba (ICCM) launched a new Web site to expand the Chamber's service offering. Italbiz was contracted by ICCM to create the new Web portal, www.italchambers.net/manitoba, which features improved layout, easier navigation and greater access to timely and useful information, according to AnnaMaria Toppazzini, secretary general of the Chamber.
"We believe that the Internet is a powerful tool for bringing together Italian-related businesses throughout the world," Toppazzini said. "Italbiz demonstrates a unique understanding of the particular needs of Italian-oriented business associations such as the ICCM. Our partnership with Italbiz will enable the Chamber to offer our members a wide range of Internet services, empowering them to operate more efficiently and extensively with their business partners in the Italian marketplace."
Emilio Fontana, founder and CEO of Italbiz, commented, "ICCM's recent Web site changes have enhanced their online service offering and will help members remain at the forefront of today's ever-changing international business environment. In the new economy, the Internet plays a significant role in shaping business communities and expanding the abilities of companies to communicate and operate in a global arena."
The ICCM Web site provides a direct link to Italbiz.com, where businesses will find turnkey B2B solutions, up-to-date news and information and a comprehensive business directory listing Italian-oriented companies throughout the world. In partnership with the network of Italian Chambers of Commerce around the world, Italbiz helps Chambers increase their impact on local Italian-related companies by strengthening their online services and providing e-business resources. In addition, the Italbiz.com Web site promotes Chamber services, events and membership benefits and enables Italian-oriented businesses to access local Chambers for networking, legal assistance, marketplace analysis, regional import/export guidelines and investment opportunities.
Founded in 1996, the ICCM has been operational since January 8, 1999. It is a private, not for profit, multi-service, membership-driven organization comprised of members from a wide variety of backgrounds and sectors. The ICCM has emerged as Manitoba's primary resource for information on Italian business, social and political culture. In November 2000, the ICCM became the sixty-fifth Chamber to be granted affiliation with the Italian Foreign Chambers of Commerce (IFCC), a network of worldwide Italian and local professional associations recognized by the Italian government. Currently, 270,000 firms are aligned with the IFCC network.
