Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West Partners with Italbiz to Launch New Chamber Web Site

Chamber Web Site Undergoes Complete Redesign to Offer Improved Online Services for Italian-related Businesses

LOS ANGELES - Italbiz, the leading provider of e-business resources and solutions for Italian-oriented companies, and the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West (IACCW) launched a new Web site to expand the Chamber's service offering. Italbiz was contracted by IACCW to create the new Web portal, www.italchambers.net/losangeles, which features improved layout, easier navigation and greater access to timely and useful information, according to Paola De Mari, executive director of the Chamber.
"We believe that the Internet is a powerful tool for bringing together Italian-related businesses throughout the world," De Mari said. "Italbiz demonstrates a unique understanding of the particular needs of Italian-oriented business associations such as the IACCW. Our partnership with them will enable the Chamber to offer our members a wide range of Internet services, empowering them to operate more efficiently and extensively with their business partners in the Italian marketplace."
Emilio Fontana, founder and CEO of Italbiz, commented, "IACCW's recent Web site changes will help members remain at the forefront of today's ever-changing international business environment. In the new economy, the Internet plays a significant role in shaping business communities and expanding the abilities of companies to communicate and operate in a global arena."

The IACCW Web site also provides a direct link to Italbiz.com, where businesses will find turnkey B2B solutions, up-to-date news and information and a comprehensive business directory listing Italian-oriented companies throughout the world. In partnership with the network of Italian Chambers of Commerce around the world, Italbiz helps Chambers increase their impact on local Italian-related companies by strengthening their online services and providing e-business resources. In addition, the Italbiz.com Web site promotes Chamber services, events and membership benefits and enables Italian-oriented businesses to access local Chambers for networking, legal assistance, marketplace analysis, regional import/export guidelines and investment opportunities.
Located in Los Angeles, the IACCW is a multi-service organization whose goal is to actively promote commerce and trade between the Western United States and Italy in order to increase its members' visibility and success in all areas of business. The IACCW played a leading role in the "Naftanet" project, which provided a network for Italian Chambers in the NAFTA area to share information on Chamber membership databases, email systems and intranet tools. The Naftanet project later expanded to worldwide Italian Chambers under the name "Italchambers."

Based in Los Angeles, Italbiz is a premier online business community uniquely structured to provide Web-based business tools for small- and medium-sized enterprises that trade with Italy or are interested in the Italian market. The company's mission is to aggregate this community of companies that share common values, culture and business practices that span across geographic and language differences, and provide them with business solutions to trade more efficiently. Through Italbiz's partnership with its lead investor, Seat Pagine Gialle, the top Italian Internet services company, Italbiz.com offers unique access to Seat's European and Italian-related business resources.
